Job Description:
TAPE Educational Services is a provider of continuing education programs and professional consulting services for professionals and organizations working in the health care and human services sectors. TAPE is affiliated with the Continuing Education Division of St. Michael's College in the University of Toronto
TAPE is currently seeking contract faculty "on demand" to provide classroom and customized instruction for our continuing education programs. The faculty we are seeking normally shall be required to:
• Work with TAPE and TAPE's clients to develop and deliver instruction in the following areas: CBT and mental health (adult and children), supervision in CBT and mental health, CBT and trauma, brief therapy application, supervision, motivation, coaching, human service management, addictions, mental health, adolescent development and mental health, violence, trauma, crisis management, and clinical management.
• Instruction must be informed by best practice standards and current research literature.
• Demonstrate experience in delivering adult education and/or training - face-to-face and/or online - developing curriculum, managing a real/virtual classroom environment that fosters learning and performance, and working with a diverse group of adult students.
• Develop and maintain close communication with TAPE regarding the development and delivery of instruction, and ensure that the learning needs of the students/trainees are met.
• Be a faculty member of an undergraduate or graduate school of social work or psychology or have received specialized graduate or post-graduate level training in the subject area or have extensive experience to include no less than five years of supervised professional practice, ideally supported by research involving the subject area.
• Have professional qualifications in good standing with a relevant professional regulatory board (if applicable).
